How Argos gets made. RSS
Joystick movement is an option
A first-time setup that asks how you want to move before you reach the world, a bug report button in the game, and a week of fixes.
Ground of your own
Every player gets their own ground to build on, and it saves. Walls now rise a log at a time, and finished builds can be moved.
The cave spider learned to fight
The spider rears up, spits homing silk and keeps its distance. Chickens spook and tire, the bow shows its arc, and you can spear a fish.
The bow works
A bow you aim with both hands, a spear you can throw, a backpack that finds its way back to you, and fires you light by striking rocks.
Dinner goes on a stick
Meat cooks on a skewer now, campfires need tinder and burn down, dead trees fall the way you cut them, and the craft table arrives.
The kill is not the meal
Animals leave a carcass you open with a blade, fishing lands the fish you hooked, and the shop arrives as a cairn you buy from by breaking a clay seal.
The pond is water now
You can swim and drown, the pond holds twenty species of fish you can actually catch, and something in the caves finally bites back.
Why it's called Argos (and what's already working)
The name almost wasn't Argos, and the game is further along than a five-day-old project has any right to be. Here's the pitch and what's actually playable today.
Alpha arrives October 2026.
